That’s my hubby!

I wouldn’t say Chris is a perfectionist, yet he seems to naturally excel at all he attempts. Well, recently he submitted an abstract to the American College of Physicians (ACP) and its only natural he was selected to present at the ACP conference. He returns tonight…woo hoo!

Is this what parents mean when they say 'they grow up so fast'?

Manly or Not?

I bought Chris this shirt for Christmas and was immediately told it was girly. Ok, it was a stretch that he would wear flowers but I thought Id try, and I really like the shirt! Come on girls...help me out, is this shirt too feminine for my man?

Jenny Edwards

Well well...how easily we forget. On my last post, Jenny commented on how she thinks she met Austin. Little does she remember they were buds...especially when visiting her at work!

This one is just for good measure;) Check out those legs...I don't know about you Jenny, but mine no longer look like that!

Austin & Amber

While home in Texas, Chris and I, along with my mother, met up with Austin and his girlfriend, Amber, for a few drinks at a local sports bar.

Ahh...flashbacks to the days when Austin idealized me. No really, he did!

Gun Toting Texans

So many non-Texans have odd ideas about Texas, like everyone rides horses, wears boots, and/or shoots anything that moves or doesn't move. Well, my husband is no different. No-one in my family rides horses, a few people wear boots, and the only relative who owns a gun is my Papa...or so I thought.

This was Chris's first Texas Christmas and as we pulled into my grandparents driveway he immediately and joyfully asked if we were going to shoot guns. I then look up to see my uncle carrying a shot gun. There's a way to break the stereotype!

Turns out my uncle had a bit of bad luck in the way of a home invasion and decided to protect his turf with a 9mm and a shotgun. My grandparents live out in the boondocks with lots of land, so in true Texas fashion we loaded up the truck and 'hotrod' and went off into the mass of trees to target shoot.

I particularly like how you see Papa loading a shotgun in the background...and of course you can't miss the beer bottle on the ground.
