Owen & Ethan : 18 months

Both boys love their big brother.  I mean it.  It's obvious they already look up to him.  They're both super lovey.  I love that they stop what they're doing to give me hugs or kisses (even if they are often sloppy and wet).  They're copy cats.  Sometimes that's a good thing, though mostly not.  And, oh the jealousy.  There's room enough for both of you on my lap...even with a baby belly!

Yep, that's as good as it got!

OWEN
~ The more flexible of the boys.  Peace keeper.
~ A complete laugh machine

~ Still suffers from reflux, still on meds for such
~ Has been bucking his morning nap.  He will 'rest' awake but only occasionally sleeps.
~ Kisses with his mouth open

~ Continually tries to get on Ryan's bike
~ Still needs his lovey to sleep
~ Sucks his thumb but only when in bed
~ Though he will watch a few minutes of TV, he could do without it

ETHAN
~ Still a mamas boy
~ Wakes happily

~ Loves Sesame Street
~ Is the more verbal of the twins.  Best new word, 'Ryan'.

~ Even though he's more verbal he often grunts to get what he wants
~ He easily throws a temper tantrum
~ Stomps his feet in anticipation
~ Kisses with his mouth closed while saying 'mmm' (the universal smooching sound)

~ Hits his chest with both arms to say 'my turn' or 'me, me'
~ Sucks his thumb, but, like his brothers, only when in bed
~ Still drools when teething.  I'm talking soak his shirt kinda drool.

Pumpkin Patch

Every year we go to the same pumpkin patch.  A real pumpkin patch...you know...where the pumpkins are still attached to the earth via vine.  This year we were rained out.  Twice.  So it's a good thing we were able to go to a pseudo patch while in Texas.  Bonus, we got to go with cousin Sean!

It was time for lunch so the kids ate a cut up PB&J while exploring the pumpkins.  Owen has food in his mouth in every picture!  Little piggy.

The weather was perfect, though the wind seemed to concern Ethan.  Overall, it was a great way to end our time in Texas.  I sure love these little guys...all 4 of them!

the UPS man loves Milk & Cookies

Originally Ryan wanted to be the garbage man for Halloween.  Did you know there's not really a costume for said trash man?  Well there's not.  So, I was hoping he would change his mind.  It took a couple weeks, but he finally switched to the UPS man.  Not to be confused with the UPS driver because, as he puts it, he's not old enough to drive.  And, as it turns out, there is a costume for the UPS man.  "Why the UPS guy" you might ask.  Well, I don't have the luxury of time for shopping, and, thus, have developed great skill at online shopping.   Have you ever seen such an adorable delivery man?

And who doesn't love Milk and Cookies?  Made with love by Mom and Nonna.  Owen, the milk lover, was designated milk.  Ethan's more of a cookie man.

This year we enjoyed 3 Halloween events.  First, a neighborhood shopping center where we trick or treated door to door.  Ryan seemed to remember it from last year and the twins quickly picked up on the concept.  Bonus, it was at 5pm.

Then we went to the local minor league baseball diamond for another door to door trick or treating event.

And last but not least we went to our neighborhood party where I learned Owen loves himself some fried chicken!

As we walked home from the party the boys hit up a few houses for actual trick or treating.  Man it takes toddlers a long time to walk up to a door...

All 3 costumes were big hits.  Overall, I deem this Halloween a fabulous success!
